Workshop Program Name-Oriented Mobility: Architecture, Algorithms and Applications

Name-Oriented Mobility: Architecture, Algorithms and Applications (NOM 2017)

Monday, 1 May 2017 ● 08:30 – 12:00 ● Georgia 11

Name-oriented network architectures appear to be very capable in offering of a new mobility network paradigm to meet mobile device characters and mobile data routing, processing, storage, and retrieval. Thanks to its native design and its connectionless transfer of data (request for data forwarded based on data's name and data is returned using the reverse path of the request), name-oriented network naturally manages user and devices mobility across multiple radio technologies and is thus a good candidate for mobile/wireless networks, including 5G networks. The goal of this workshop is to facilitate research and discussion related to those topics.
